I want to encourage you to believe that there is a way for you to build a law practice that is a reflection of your greatest strength and deeply held beliefs. And that by leading and practicing law, authentically, you can achieve your goals.

I’ve seen a few YouTube videos lately about the role of the stories we share and the meaning behind those stories. For example here are two stories I’ve personally had around business:

My job is to make sure my clients get 10x return on marketing, or else it’s not worth it.

People can DIY a website, so most people won’t spend $3000 to hire me.

If you think the lesson of me bringing up these two stories is to show you that these stories are somehow ‘bad’ or harmful to manifestation, that’s not the case!

I want to show how the story is the origin of the feeling, which inspires action, and then triggers an outcome, and both stories have positive and conflicting outcomes.

My job is to make sure my clients get 10x return on marketing, or else it’s not worth it.

Pro’s:Con’s:
I work really hard on marketing areas that make the most impact. If I don’t reach a goal (I can’t directly control), then I feel worthless.
I calculate the value of my work for the client. Not all client’s value financial return as a reason for working with me

People can DIY a website, so most people won’t spend $3000 to hire me.

Pro’s:Con’s:
I should focus my work and become stronger at my craft.Feel like I charge too much.
Focus on the value I bring to business owner far beyond just a website.Feel like there is not enough work out there for me.

The case I’m laying out is, you have stories about the kind of business you want, and what you can and cannot do, and these can be examined, and even overwritten!

I have since developed five new stories that I arranged on Canva into a movie. These stories help me identify with positive actions. I play it daily while mentally trying to find real-life examples that can support these stories.

Here’s my movie:
